Insteon Groups do not seem to respond to commands.

Postby chriscouture » Thu Sep 15, 2011 8:28 am

Just installed with Homeseer and it works GREAT!!! I have a few insteon groups setup and they show up as devices but when I go to control them, they don't respond.

For example, I have a group called Outside Night Lighting which has about 6 devices in it. If I use Homeseer to control the group, I can turn all lights on and off (or dim, ramp etc). When I try to control the group using my iPhone, the group doesn't respond.

I can work around this by building events that hit each light but it would be nice if the groups would work.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Just to clarify, by Groups do you mean a Scene in MobiLinc? If you go to My Devices do you see your "Group" listed here?

One thing to try is to make sure HS MobiLinc is synced properly with HomeSeer. Go to My Settings and tap the sync button and select "Download All" to make sure MobiLinc is fully in sync with your HomeSeer setup and try commanding your scene/group again.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to create events and have Homeseer manage the group of lights.

I am having trouble with Mobilinc staying synced so I have to use the sync all the time. I'm going to create a new post to address this.
