This seems to also happen a lot using LogMeIn (comparable to GoToMyPC). I very rarely use iPhoto or iMovie however I use LogMeIn quite a bit. I'm also hoping that my iPad3 will solve some of this with the increased RAM. I should know by Friday.

Thanks again Wes for the stellar support!

Just wanted to give you an update on this issue. Even with the new iPad 3 this behavior of dumping MobiLinc from the background still seems to be present. Perhaps this is simply an issue related to how iOS deals with applications in the background.

I'm guessing that even with the 1GB upgraded RAM on the new iPad, iPhoto and iMovie will still want to use as much RAM as possible which will cause the iOS to still dump out backgrounded apps.

Thanks for the update.

Actually this behavior is happening just from using regular applications excluding iPhoto or iMovie.

I can't tell if we are chasing a MobiLinc issue or just how the iOS is managing RAM.

Can you launch MobiLinc and then exit MobiLinc (background the app) wait 10 seconds and then restart MobiLinc? If it comes up from background (not a cold start) then MobiLinc/iOS is working correctly. If it reliably comes up as a cold start each time then we'll investigate further.

Wes,

I performed the test you requested, and it seems to be working fine. Again the issue doesn't seem to be related to a problem with MobiLinc but more the way iOS handles background applications. I'm even finding that it doesn't take large applications to cause iOS to dump MobiLnc from the background.

Thanks again for your help.

Thanks. I agree, the iOS is making RAM decisions based on something causing it dump MobiLinc from background. If you can push and pull MobiLinc from background then I'm afraid to say that some other logic is taking effect and causing iOS to free up RAM.
