It's a bummer the iOS platform does not give the ability to do this natively yet.

I wonder if it would somewhat solve the issue to have a shortcuts/buttons screen in mobilinc. A screen that would have small buttons/icons similar to the iOS dashboard that would be directly associated with an action. This would provide easy access to frequently used items. You could then organize in any order. Could provide some status for items by using button highlight color.

I do realize this would be similar to the favorites screen but it would differ in that the items would take up less space (multiple per row) and be user organized.

A mode like this could be especially useful for spouses or children. Mobilinc could then be put in guest mode and lock it down so only this screen could be used providing them with a simplified interface for interacting with the home.

I know this adds a couple more taps from doing this directly from the dashboard but it would be no more than if done from Launch Center Pro.

I created a mockup in launch center pro of what I would have done with the URL scheme.

Hi firebladeRR1k,

I believe this is exactly what we've created for My Favorites. Guest mode would lock down to the favorites page and you can specify what commands the item should execute when tapping the icon for control.

I can see the benefit to the multiple rows, and updated graphics, but functionality-wise My Favorites do exactly what you are proposing.

A concept like this is on our minds that we're looking at for a future major update to the app.

Yes, just like favorites. The major benefit would be more in one view without scrolling and have the ability to change the order/layout.

That would be such an awesome upgrade.

My family currently uses mobilinc primarily only from the favorites screen. For the kids I have locked it down to just controlling a few items. My wife has much more on her favorites that requires more scrolling. Mine is pretty long.

Great to hear it is already being looked into.
