Can anyone enlighten me as to how to change the display of my Remote Linc2 from eight on/off controllers to a scene controller that has all eight buttons on one "light switch" like I have seen in the promo material for MobiLinc? I would appreciate any help.

Hi Paul,

Currently MobiLinc HD does not display a collected group of buttons for the RemoteLinc. What you are referring to is the 8-button and 6-button INSTEON KeyPadLincs when paired with an ISY. Under this configuration, MobiLinc will show the KPLs for the 8 or 6 button KPL devices.

Currently the RemoteLinc buttons appear as 8 separate on/off devices. Since the RemoteLinc is a pure controller and cannot be controlled or has direct control over a load, we opted to not include a specialized interface for this device, but are open to changing that position based on user feedback.

Thank you for the timely response. I truly appreciate it.

I personally would like to see a 6 or 8 button KPL displayed as a single KPL with the labels being placed upon them. I thought I saw this on the ad material and was wondering about it.

Hi Paul, thanks for the feedback.

MobiLinc currently does display the 6 and 8 button KPLs as a single KPL interface. This does appear in screen shots available.

What it doesn't do is roll up the RemoteLinc buttons into a single RemoteLinc device to show you on the iPad.

Wes, I think for the RL2 it would be nice to have a single switch showing the buttons. Given the size of the switches on the iPad a RL2 with 8 buttons uses up nearly a full screen of real estate just for the one device. Remember though, you need to provide a 4 button On & Off and an 8 button image for a complete solution. I suppose you can use the regular switch for the single ON/OFF configuration.
