Hi kfrazack,

Glad to hear you got it to work. One of the problems you may be having with your X10 devices hearing the SDM software is that the PowerLinc needs to be plugged into an outlet near your computer. Computers put quite a bit of noise on the powerline and interfers with the X10 and Insteon commands. What I had to do in my setup is purchase a FilterLinc from smarthome to filter my powerstrip with my computer on it.

One thing you could try to see if this is the problem is to plug your PowerLinc into an extension cord and run the extenstion cord to another outlet far away from your PC. See if that gives you any better success.

Yeah, I had to play around with placement of my BoosterLinc and my 2414U. Signals are more reliable now. Downloaded 2.0. Very nice changes, especially the X10 Dimmer addition. The brighten and dim functions are less reliable than the on/off, at least in my setup. But everything is working much better overall. Thanks.

Wes:

Trying to re-set up the iLinc. Had it working fine earlier but then installed HouseLinc from Smarthome. Had numerous troubles and registry edits, ending in uninstalling Salad Downloader and Houselinc, then re-install of Houselinc only. Then reset port forwarding, registry edit for setting httpport=9020, set new username & password via SDM and on iPhone... still no joy. Problem resolved by regedit & setting usehttp=true  . Thought others might find this helpful ( & this step wasn't included in your earlier post on how to set port).

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the update and glad to hear you were able to get it all working. I've updated the sticky post on communication verification with SDM (http://www.mobileintegratedsolutions.com/utilities/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6)

Thanks again,
Wes
