when i use the smarthome timer software, I can control x10 lights fine, but from ilinc, the commands show up in SDM but nothing happens.


Update: I tied with insteon addresses and they worked, so i know that it is communicating with the computer, just not x10 codes.

Let's see if we can figure out what's going on.

A couple of questions...

- What house code are you using?
- iLinc was tested with X10 modules that are on/off only. Is the X10 module(s) you are trying to communicate to dimmer capable?
- What is the model number of the X10 module?
- When using iLinc to control the X10 device that is unresponse, what is SDM reporting as the command and the response?

-I have tried house codes B and M, but have not tried A. I think Ill try that next.
-Yes, All the X10 Module I have are X10 Compatable. I Am mostly using X10 Dimmer Light Switches though.
-The model number for the module is RadioShack Plug 'n power Lamp Module Cat. No. 61-2682B. The Model Number for the switch is a Smarthome Smartlinc 2384. Also, I have Dimming Fixture modules on my front lights that are x10 that I would also like to control. Thier model numbers are RD110. -The response from SDM was: "PLC:ResponseB2:sendx10=True,B2,AON" and again, nothing happened.

Update: I tried using house code A with A1 and it worked like charm, even on a dimmer module, but ilinc only supports on/off.

Thanks for the update. With your last post I think I found the problem. I'm working on a fix and will post back when it's been released to the app store.

I've fixed the X10 House code problem and have submitted it to the App Store for approval tonight. Thanks to willell for finding this.
