The address must be correct because I can turn the light on and off. Here's the log for the on event which turned the light on but errored on status:
ui:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText=0F.84.30,ON
uifinished:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText=0F.84.30,ON
si:0E 0D B3 0F 84 30 05 11 FF
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=04
PLC:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText=send failed,0F.84.30
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=04
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=03
This is an Appliancelinc. I also set up a Keypadlinc Dimmer under Keypadlinc Relay and it turns another light on and off also but errors on status like the Appliancelinc. I'm not trying to control any X10 and none of my Insteon devices are set up to receive X10 signals.

The SDM printouts look like your device was commanded to ON based on the setOnLevelText command and the setOnLevel command is failing. I'm not seeing the the getOnLevel command which is what iLinc issues when requesting status of an Insteon device.

If you look through the SDM printouts when iLinc requests status, what is the SDM printouts say? Look for the getOnLevel request.

I started over with the log and this is what I got the first time but not after that--the getOnLevelText part is missing:
ui:Response0F.84.30:getOnLevelText=0F.84.30
uifinished:Response0F.84.30:getOnLevelText=0F.84.30
uiResponse0F.84.30:setOnLevel=0F.84.30,ON
si: 0E 0D B3 0E 73 25 05 19 00
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=04
uifinished:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText-oF.84.30,ON
ui:nop
PLC:Command loop timeout - resetting command loop
si:0E 0D B3 84 30 05 19 00
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=04
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:Response0F.84.30:getOnLevelText-send failed
PLC:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText=send failed,0F.84.30
PLC:nop
ui:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText=0F.84.30,OFF
uifinshed:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText=0F.84.30,OFF
si:0E 0D B3 0F 84 30 05 13 00
PLC:eventraw=03

It looks like communication between iLinc and SDM is working ok. The problem looks like it is between SDM/PowerLinc and your device.

The giveaway for me is the SDM software printing "PLC:Command loop timeout - resetting command loop" This tells me that SDM/PowerLinc is having a hard time communicating to your device. Where is your PowerLinc plugged in? Is it next to your computer? I've seen this type of problem due to the computer polluting the powerlines and preventing a solid communcation path from PowerLinc to your devices. I had to purchase FilterLinc devices to plug my computer equipment into so that my Insteon signals are solid.

One thing you could try to see if it is communcation problems is to get an extension cord and plug your PowerLinc into an outlet far way from your computer and see if that fixes the communication problem.

Looking at the printouts it looks like you select a device and iLinc asks SDM for its status (getOnLevelText=0F.84.30). Then I see a request to command the device to ON before any response to the device status has been returned. Let's simplify the problem and just select your device and wait for the network indicator on yoru iPhone/Touch to stop spinning before you try to command the device to ON or OFF. Did you still get the status failure?

Somthing else to look at is the SDM printout: "uifinished:Response0F.84.30:setOnLevelText-oF.84.30,ON" Notice how the Insteon address is "oF" instead of "0F". This could be a copy paste problem, but verify that your insteon module address is a "0" and not an "o" or capital "O" in iLinc.

We'll get this figured out eventually.
