Postby bockafer » Sat Jul 04, 2015 12:47 am

MobiLinc Pro:
Android: v2.0.6
IOS: v4.4.1
Host Type: MobiLinc Connect

Dimmer:
Leviton VRMX1-1L (vizia rf+)
Mode A-3 (Preset on level) set to 16%

When I turn on the light in IOS via Devices -> icon or Control Device it turns on at the "preset on" level.
When I turn on the light in Android in the same manner it comes on at full brightness.

ISY Event Viewer level 3:

I don't think I'm getting the whole picture from Event Viewer as something should clearly be different between the two commands.

Thanks

Hi bockafer,

Two other things to look at:

What does the ISY log file say?
Also, please record when using the Admin Console to turn that device ON.

Android:
Master Bedroom / Master On On Sun 2015/07/05 10:18:36 PM Web Log

Master Bedroom / Master Status 16% Sun 2015/07/05 10:22:04 PM System Log

The admin console isn't showing an on button for this device for some reason, only fast on.
Running a program based on a variable to set the device on leaves it in the dimmed state as does turning it on from the web based devices page.

Turning on the device via a program on the admin console:
Code: Select all

Similar behavior is also happening with 3 speed fan controllers (Leviton VRF01-1LZ) configured in the same manner.

IOS:
Fans / Master Fan On Sun 2015/07/05 10:36:00 PM Web Log
Fans / Master Fan Status 26% Sun 2015/07/05 10:36:03 PM System Log

Android:

Fans / Master Fan Status 100% Sun 2015/07/05 10:36:26 PM System Log

Now I see that android is sending on on (control/status) vs IOS only sending on (control).

So any chance to have the Android app updated to work like IOS does? It seems to be the more correct behavior.

Hi bockafer,

I'm actually not really sure what's happening. The ON ON doesn't make any sense to me. I'm assuming that's Fast ON, but I don't actually know that for sure.

I'm wondering if since the Admin Console only shows Fast ON/OFF if that's a clue here. The Android version may be matching more closely to the Admin Console then the iOS version. Why ON still works from iOS but not Admin Console, I really don't know why that would be.

The first thing to do to resolve this is to get clarity from UDI why just normal ON/OFF isn't an option in the Admin Console. Once that's resolved, we'll have a better idea about what's going on for the mobile apps.

Have you reached out to UDI or would you rather I do that?

The UDI request would be better coming from you as you'll have all the details you can share with UDI regarding the Admin Console and your Z-Wave device.
