What new features would you want in MobiLinc?

Postby AdminWes » Sun Mar 01, 2009 2:53 pm

For the users of MobiLinc and those that may be on the fence, what new features would you like to see added to MobiLinc?

The addition of SmartLinc (item 2412N) as a supported controller.

When I set up a URL for a NetCam on my page it would be nice to program the username and paswords of the webcam into a predefined field rather than enter them every time.

Hi Stewie,

I'm looking at adding the SmartLinc and the ISY as supported Insteon host devices.

As for your last post,

I think you lost me. Are you referring to something in iLinc? The username and password field in iLinc and SDM are set once input.

Are you referring to something else?

Wouldn't it already be able to control the thermostat if you programmed another insteon device like the pad with 6-8 buttons to chaghe the tenperature, you could set ilinc to control that?

When I long onto my SmartLinc webpage I apso have webcams set up for many of the pages corresponding with the devices. So I have to set up an easy password so I can view the image and watch the insteon device turn on or off. It would be nice to have a plce to enter the username and password into the SmartLinc setup to I don't have to remember a password when I aam not at home. If this feature were available then I would use a stronger password so not anyone could access it. Same with SmartLinc someday.

Ok, I think I understand. If iLinc supports SmartLinc someday, then when the webcams are configured inside of iLinc, have iLinc remember the password and provide it automaticially to the webcam. Sounds like a good suggestion to me. It could be a user configurable option, such as, a "remember passwords" check box.

Did I understand correctly?
