I did confirm that status was Registered when using cellular. However, the WiFi connections that I've tried (work, Peet's Coffee, etc.) don't allow for registration.

I'm concerned that this may be a fundamental drawback in MobiLinc. Is there any possibility of correcting this? I perceive it as a problem that would prevent me from becoming a long-term MobiLinc subscriber.

Possibly. We need to evaluate the change to see if it's possible or not. There are a number of ports used for a reason and in order to solve this would need to reduce the communication down to just port 443 which has a number of challenges.

How certain are you that HTTPS works in these locations? Does work, Peet's Coffee, etc block everything but port 80?
