Q-see

Postby MrB » Sat Mar 02, 2013 8:11 am

Hello,
I am trying to set up my Mobilinc apps to view my Q-see QT series cameras. I am able to view them on my QT app via my ip address and port 85. I am also able to view a smarthome camera through Mobilinc. When I select Q-see in Mobilinc camera settings it asks for the following:
IP(dns) http://
Port
RTSP Port
User name
Password
Cam Number
Use HTTPS OFF/ON
Refresh

I dont know what a RTSP port is. My Q-see DVR uses port 85 for HTTP and 6036 for data. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MrB,

Some of the Q-See models support RTSP. This setting (if supported) is found in the configuration setting page of the Q-See DVR. Please consult your manual to see if RTSP is supported.

We've updated our JPEG and RTSP settings for Q-See that may help improve your odds of getting your particular brand of Q-See DVR working. Please perform the following in MobiLinc to download the latest camera profiles:

- Go to My Settings->IP Camera Settings
- Select your Q-See Camera
- Select Camera Type.
- Tap the Refresh button.
- After you get the download confirmation, select Q-See from the list (Important).
- Setup your Q-See camera
- Tap "Next" to confirm your JPEG settings (and RTSP if your Q-See supports RTSP).

I have a foscam FI9821W with the latest firmware which supports RTSP
Is this camera supported because I can't get it to work with your app
With live cams pro it works with no problems

Thanks
Paul.

Hi Paul,

Please update the internal camera database from above to get JPEG access to the camera:

- Go to My Settings->IP Camera Settings
- Select your FOSCAM Camera
- Select Camera Type.
- Tap the Refresh button.
- After you get the download confirmation, select FOSCAM from the list (Important).
- Setup your FOSCAM camera
- Tap "Next" to confirm your JPEG settings.

We saw that this firmware was just released earlier this week, however we don't have a camera to test with. If you are willing to open your camera up to us, we'd like to connect to it to add their new RTSP supported interface.

If you are willing to help us out to get the RTSP interface supported (if our current FOSCAM RTSP interface doesn't work for you) please send me your connection information to: support@mobilinc.com and I'll work on getting their new firmware RTSP supported.

I'll need your external IP address and ports as well as a username/password.

Hi Paul,

Just to follow-up, I was able to update the MobiLinc camera database with the new FOSCAM RTSP driver. To update your copy of MobiLinc, please perform the following:

- Go to My Settings->IP Camera Settings
- Select your FOSCAM Camera
- Select Camera Type.
- Tap the Refresh button.
- After you get the download confirmation, select FOSCAM from the list (Important).
- Setup your FOSCAM camera
- Tap "Next" to confirm your settings.

The new RTSP FOSCAM Profiles are RTSP Profiles 5 and 6.
