Fantastic news!! Nest announced open API's today

Does this change the possibility of nest support?

Possibly, is all I can say for now. We've signed up for their developer API preview and are waiting for more information from NEST.

Stay tuned!

I'm anxiously awaiting support for NEST as well. Who at NEST would I email to push them toward the API?

Hi Halfmoon,

Thank you, but I'm not sure that will help. We've applied and followed their process. I don't think we'll hear anything till early 2014.

Add me to the list of anxious consumers. Love my Mobilinc and can't wait to integrate my nest with geo-fencing.

If I already have the nest integrated with an ISY994-ems, how can I add this in Mobilinc Pro? I have a variable showing the temperature I don't see a way in Mobilinc to view a varible and a program to turn up and down the temperature. I can get it to have a button "Thermostat" that when you tap shows commands: temperature up, temperature down. It would be nice if on the same screen you could see the room temperature as well as the set temperature.

Hi juangarcia,

Variables are under My Programs->Integer/State Variables for iOS devices. Variable support for Android will be in our next release.

Wes,

could you provide an update on Mobilinc and Nest Integration. Given the Nest API availability when might Mobilinc be updated?

Many thanks, Mark

Hmm. Also looks like Variable support did not make the 2.0 Android release. :(

maslett,

I don't have any firm timeline. We're looking at their API and have added this to our to-do list.

mwareman,

Yes, that is true. I mentioned that variables and the changed weather did not make it to 2.0 here in my initial post on the UDI forum announcing Android 2.0: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topi ... available/
