Hiding Controls on a Device

Postby geogecko » Tue Feb 02, 2010 10:17 pm

Just added a new KPL, and for some reason after I imported it into iLinc, it only shows on/off, no brighten, dim, fast on/off. When I goto advanced, it shows that it is hiding the commands, so I retyped them in, and they still don't show up.

I thought maybe they shipped me a relay version, until I went over and dimmed the light attached to it.

Any ideas?

What's happening is that the KPL is reporting a device type that iLinc doesn't recognize. When you select the device what does iLinc report as the device type? Should be a string of numbers. In the 2.11 release I did add another KPL device type.

Actually, I got a new KPL, and I also reinstalled another one that was manually added to ISY, due to the same problem (old firmware). So I now have two that are this way.

1.28.53.0
1.28.54.0

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the device type. I added the 1.28.x.x KPL devices to the 2.11 update. Once 2.11 is released from Apple and you download it, please perform a sync (Update) with your ISY to force 2.11 to re-detect your KPLs as dimming devices.

Please let me know if you have issues with these on the 2.11 release.
