Is there any way to add a Samsung SmartCam to MobiLinc? I don't see any way to configure DDNS on the SmartCam so I don't see how it would be possible, but maybe I'm missing something. Thanks.

Hi Baja,

If this camera supports RTSP make sure to enter in the RTSP port in MobiLinc (default is 554) as well as the camera's username/password (not your camera's cloud account credentials) and the IP address of the camera.

On the RTSP setup page, RTSP Profiles 3, 4, 5, and 7 line up with known profiles from recent Samsung cameras.

Wes,

Thanks for your help. I was able to get it working on an iPad mini 2 and an iPhone 7 (both running iOS version 10.3.3). However, I have an older iPad 2 running iOS version 9.3.5. that I can't get to work. Would the configuration be different for an older version of iOS? Thanks.

Hi Baja,

What version of MobiLinc is the iPad 2 running? Is it the same version as your other iOS devices?

Yes, all three iOS devices are running the same version of MobiLinc, v4.12.

Hi Baja,

The iPad 2 is borderline capable of streaming RTSP especially if the video is 720p or higher. What we see with the old iPad 2 is that it's CPU can't keep up with high bandwidth stream or high resolution streams. That may be the issue you are seeing.

Do you have more than one camera? If so, only try one camera to see if you can get the iPad to connect to just one camera during setup. Or use the "copy" feature to copy settings from the working iOS device to the iPad 2. Single camera view should then work for you depending on the bandwidth/resolution that the camera is sending.
