PIP for IP camera video?

Postby Rwags24 » Tue Mar 08, 2016 4:16 pm

Are there any plans to support the IOS 9 PIP feature for the IP camera video? It would be great to be able to browse the web while viewing my IP Camera. In most cases this would mean watching my baby while being productive.

Hi there,

We have been very interested in this since Apple announced PiP for iOS 9. Unfortunately, they way they implemented PiP is that the video streaming source has to support HTTP Live Streaming. IE we can't inject our own processing code if the camera doesn't support HTTP Live Streaming which most don't.

We are looking at a couple of very specific cameras to see if we can offer PiP for certain models, but it's too early to comment if this is a feature that will make it into a release or not.
