Z-Wave devices

Postby andyf0 » Tue Jun 10, 2014 3:24 pm

Hi Wes,

UDI is adding support all the time for new Z-Wave devices. A lot of these devices reports multiple device information such as a sensor ON/OFF status along with battery level. I'm thinking specifically of the Aeon MultiSensor which has two nodes. One reports motion on/off and battery level and the other reports Temperature, Humidity and Lumins (lux). It's really a pain to open up the Admin Console on the ISY to see these values. Hopefully you're working on a solution for these type of devices?

Hi Andy,

Yes, but we're moving slowly on these additional features like battery level as we weigh our priorities moving MobiLinc forward.

How do I select what I wish to display on the dashboard for a device such as the Everspring ST 814-2? I have two of them, one that I wish to be able to display temperature from and one that I wish to display humidity from on the Mobilinc dashboard, but I cannot seem to figure out how to get it to display as such. It seems that Mobilinc displays the "Status" of the device, which currently aligns with Humidity level on both devices. Any idea on how to address? Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

Hi jdsmeak,

Z-Wave devices have a primary reporting value and that's the value that gets surfaced up to the Dashboard. There is room for improvement here to allow you to pick what sub-value of the Z-Wave device is shown on the Dashboard.

Any timeline to be able to select the secondary reporting value? Would make your app a lot more useful for many of us!

Hi jdsmeak,

I don't have a timetable, but I've passed this along internally.
