Question about IP camera support

Hi, I am currently shopping for an outside IP camera. I was wondering if the ip cam plugin supports 720
P and/or 1080p cameras? The ones I am looking for are Eyeonet or Foscam. They are, H.264, either 1.3 or 2 MegaPixel and either 720p or 1080p cameras. Will the camera plugin support these?

Also, I was wondering about the supported ip cam manufacturters list. If it is not in there does it mean it will NOT work? Or only that it hasn't been tested?

Thank you

Hi kaphely,

The MobiLinc Plug-in does support 720p and 1080p cameras via RTSP. As long as your camera supports the RTSP interface we can likely get it working with the MobiLinc plug-in even if your manufacturer isn't listed in our supported manufacturer list.

Thank you, I'm going to buy an Eyeonet IP9742 camera (rebranded Dahua IPC-HFW3200S apparently) after all so I guess it should work as I just saw that Dahua was in the list of cameras manufacturers supported in Mobilinc HD. I'll post here if it doesn't.

Thank you!

Hi kaphely,

Just make sure that it supports RTSP. We have 2 profiles for Dahua cameras and they both use RTSP to communicate.

Apparently it does support RTSP so I should be fine. Thanks for the info.
