I like the idea of the GeoFence, but I found that it quickly drained my battery (it went from 60% to dead overnight, when normally it only drop 5-10% overnight) on my iPhone 4S. Is the GPS accessed constantly while using the GeoFence, and is there a setting I can modify that makes location polls less frequent?

I understand being in a weak cell signal area can cause background location updates to happen more frequently, but in this case, I was in an area with a strong signal (for example, Google Latitude will only update once when in this same location).

In our testing we didn't notice any drops in battery life like you are reporting. I would recommend that you force close all applications and reboot your phone leaving MobiLinc as your only "open" application and see what your results are after a full charge and a day or two of testing.

The GPS sensor isn't normally used unless another app is using the GPS signal, then iOS will piggyback on the one GPS signal for geo-fence detection.

Thank you for your quick reply. I believe I may have had the Google app's location turned on (Google Now) at the time which may have conflicted with the GeoFence. So, normally, the GeoFence implementation in MobiLinc should only be using cellular triangulation and WiFi detection for the GeoFence?

Yes, you got it! That's how iOS does geo-fencing. We really like what they've done so as to not impact battery life, yet, still provide an accurate enough service to do some really interesting things with location and home automation.
